Thumbs up New Place for TM506 Java Apps

I set this site up because of the infamous "Invalid Application" message that shows up when you try to install a .jad from official sites.

It uses the method i found earlier, to shorten the MIDlet-Jar-URL and successfully download the .jar from the official site.

Post any comments or requests for new apps in this thread, or tell me if i have an old version up lol

The gmail app has phantaszm's key fixes

Browse to this url with your phone:

Has anybody had any success with the CNN Mobile app or the YouTube app? I'm getting Invalid Application error with both. I downloaded the newest Opera Mini without a problem though, thanks!

Thanks, I didn't try them all, only because I lack an M2 card at the moment, but I did try the ones that I would use. Thanks again for putting these up.

Gmail works with built-in email app (in messaging), it configures automatically
it used secure (SSL) IMAP (port 993 or 995 incoming; port 465 outgoing)
no luck with LBS Google Maps (still get invalid application error), though I can use GPS Google Maps

Thanks. Yahoo is fixed now. Gmail seems to be fine already... Try reinstalling both.

Yahoo is one of the best apps out. RSS feeds, mail, and maps, all in one. It has ebay, facebook, myspace, and wikipedia addons too.

I know. I already set up GMail using the built-in client for 30-minutes pulled but I want to use GMail for quick access to my various folders.

I just tried them both and they're working

If it's still not working for you, try clearing your browser cache

    Options->Advanced->Other tab->Clear Cache

    Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.60 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/4.2.13337/670; U; en) Presto/2.2.0)

S.D. thanks for doing this. Unfortunately it still says invalid application for me for gmail and youtube, even after clearing the cache.

Gmail downloaded fine for me including the button corrections from phantasm. I used opera mini to select the link from this thread and it worked fine.

Got "invalid application" error for Google maps and Gmail app.
I have to use another way and made it work.
Copy the Google maps and Gmail (jad and jar files) to phone memory, then direct install from the phone.
    this way worked very well.
