Hey All - Question for you. I'm currently using Freedom Mobile. It's a decent plan/phone if you're in the Lower Mainland - at least, I have no complaints. However I will be moving to Nanaimo and they do not have service there. I've got a second phone that is on Fido and have been a customer for 10+ years. The plan is 10gb for an outrageous amount (not the promos they were running in Dec/Jan).

I'd like to see if they would reduce the monthly fee to what they were offering.

I'd like to get a second line (and port my number) so that I can use the phone in Nanaimo (and cancel my Freedom plan).

What is the best way to approach Fido when I call? I would not be routed to retentions and I can't really bluff as I won't go through with it. I'm frankly happy with Fido but not with what I'm paying on the 10gb plan and want a similar plan but don't want to spend that much.
