The Fido Loyalty Thread - All threads related to retention, loyalty, and winback!!

All "loyalty" based threads including "loyalty offers", "retention offers" and "winback offers" should now be in this thread instead of the original "retention thread".

I was forced to lock and un-sticky the previous thead because there was far too much inappropriate exchanges going on in there among certain members. This will not be tolerated in this thread! Stick with the subject at hand as it can develop into a very useful source of information brought in by both customers and CSR's. As that previous thread did contain some valuable information, I will link to it here.

To refresh everyone's memories:

Let's keep in mind that the Fido Forum serves both Customers and Employees (in any form). It is our hope that the collaboration which exists here will be beneficial to both parties. There are, however, some caveats to keep in mind:

• Rudeness and arrogance will not be tolerated and said behaviour are grounds for a ban from the forums. It is important that members refrain from flaming or bashing others. If you don't have anything nice to say, please don't say it at all.

The inability for employees to get along with customers and vice versa must cease immediately.

As a customer, if you're going to post about how you were "short-changed" by Fido or how Rogers has been transforming Fido into a carrier far from how it was back in the day, please word it properly.

Conversely, if you're an employee and you don't like how the members are out hunting for a good deal, realize that this is the customer's prerogative. If you cannot help a customer, don't tell them to get lost (tiring and annoying as it may be). It's unprofessional and unacceptable. This type of response, along with other rude, arrogant, or condescending responses will result in a ban.

• Circumventing the swear filter is not allowed.
• Posting a CSR's extension or any other contact information is prohibited.

I called for the first time back in January and was taken down from the $25 Student Plan with a bunch of extras to the EPP by a helpful retentions rep.

My plan:

$17.50 EPP - $17.50

• 200 Daytime Minutes
• Evenings/Weekends after 5PM

Unlimited Incoming - $10.00
Retention Value Pack (2500 txt, CID, VM) - $10.00

Total: $37.50 + tax (no SAF + 911)

This plan had 150 minutes less than my other plan, but was also $15 cheaper. That month I was switched, my minutes went over and I had to pay $90 for the month....

I guess I should have called in prior to this change. I was saving to get an iPhone with the $25 500MB data option and see if I could keep my monthly service fees below $60 including taxes. Is this still possible with Fido's new Loyalty plans? I know through work I can get something similar through Rogers or Bell (would have to settle for a BB Curve instead of iPhone) but I'm a brand loyal person and want to stick with Fido (I know it's owned by Rogers).

Any help?

I got the $25 plan last week without having to renew my contract. I still have 7 months left on my current contract. The Fido rep couldn't renew my contract but offered me the plan on my existing contract.

April Fools is happening , Fidos april fools , LOL yea my Manager would love to hear how much I Help on HOFO ( Dont have a supervisor ) LOL I have been off calls for 3days now working on a Fido Project , The 25$ is a Retention ( Loyalty plan ) and yes for now it is still offered

City Fido is a OLD OLD OLD fido plan which is 45$ and Unlimited Calls 24/7 Local no saf no 911 fee Wish retenntion had this priceplan to give out We would sav soooooooo many people even if they had the city fido at like 60$ - 70$ still a deal and a half

what exactly is the City Fido plan?

It was a plan that was offered about 5 years ago to 3 cities (Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal). It was meant to replace a customer's home phone by offering unlimited incoming and outgoing local calls within a specific local area.

When Rogers bought Fido, Fido stopped offering CityFido to new customers... customers who had it previously have been grandfathered for the time being with conditions/limitations added to the CityFido.

Encore, are you getting 50% your total, or just voice? Cos the 'trainers' at my session were telling us that it's 50% off the VOICE plans, no other options or data...

Care to enlighten? It will certainly influence my Bold vs. iPhone choice... This is technically about loyalty, cos I need to resign and need guidance, haha
