How long does the process usually take from cx walking into the store to them leaving with a loaner phone?
It's all fun and game until someone gets hurt... then it's hilarious.

    WTF is a loaner phone?

Walmart is selling crap Fido phones (read usual) for $38

    buy it

    beat it up

    toss it...

Heck I scored one for $25 when it was ON SALE!!!

why would I pay a loaner fee to rent a POS when I can buy a POS and enjoy trashing up this planet some more!

and if you are a high end client you get your phone replaced over the counter no?!

and Apple replaces phones right away so... what is left are the crap phones... basically everything from fido.

heck I encourage everyone to go to wal-mart and score a $25 phone, and you get $25 free air time...

If I was really bad I would just buy up 12 of them and activate 1 per month instead of re-filling.. then tos them in the garbage when I 'm done...

    Do to summarize..

1-Some scam dealer, mostly all of them (Allways go to Corperate and NEVER to a dealer) will charge the client $10 admin fee

2-This phone could allready be water damaged or on the fritz

    3-client leaves a $50 deposit + $10 fee

    4-phone dies

    5-client brings it back

    6-Dealer steals the clients $60

    OR

you can go to Wal-Crap, buy a phone for $25 (Nokia 1661) or the crap Moto RENEW for $38 regular price, or the Nokia 2760 for $38 when on sale, and get $25 on the sim card.. bonus is now putting money into a scamming dealer's hand...

Oh, and you get to keep the phone

^ uhhh, what. You are referring to prepaid. The overwhelming majority of customers that need repairs on their phones are on postpaid, so there is no $25 bonus airtime for buying the phone @ Wal-mart. Either way, Fido doesn't care if you do that. You aren't "scamming the system".. here's why:

Fido's old policy is that they would mail the customer an advanced exchange. But, the customer would be without a phone for x amount of weeks until it arrived. Fido is now providing the customer with a service where the customer will be able to have a usable phone for the entire repair process, for a $10 fee, and a faster turnaround time.

The customer is not forced to get a loaner phone. For many people this loaner phone process will be more convenient than the older one.

^At least with the repair program, customers are guaranteed results...as opposed to OTC where stock levels varied by location.

My store was picked as part of the pilot program, and I must say Fido never gets anything right the first time. I tried doing a repair order yesterday in SC and went to scan in the loaner, but the system threw a "please enter valid loaner IMEI" error. I tried scanning the other phones in the shipping box but they all did the same thing.

That would probably mean that the phones are not received in AS400 yet

During the confrence calls please make them aware of it, also your Fido Rep who is responsible for it. Its a common error.

Most errors have been corrected, seems very fast and reliable now. It seems like an emulated sales central as the home button (Fido logo) doesnt go to Sales Central. Print agreement finally works too.
