N900 on AT&T In The US?

I have been looking at the N900 and very seriously considering it as a replacement for my n95 but I just read that it won't work on AT&T's US network... is that true??????

well clearly you can't buy a phone like that for use on a 2g network. Would be a step backwards from a 3g n95... guess i have to wait for an AT&T variant

Really? I've been using my N95 on a 2g network (T-Mobile) and i've never had any complaints

I'm confused... wouldn't a 2g network be slower? Like, if i went to the n900, would ig et the same network speed i do on the n95?

You will get edge speeds... if its good enough for your then get it. There's not NAM version announced so maybe there won't be one. Don't hold your breath... if you can live with edge speeds get it... otherwise get something else. You could always switch to TMO tho.

Well I was saving up for the N97, then I thought, well, I'll just get the N86, then I thought, well the N900 looks sweet too! Once I found out TMobile was only getting it, I spent the money on a new PC (self built of course). Maybe by the time I've saved enough money they will have either the N900 at ATT or maybe the N9NN.....
I just got tired of waiting for something that I just had to have.
