    Exclamation Important info for unhappy Touch Pro Owners

    I searched but did not find this posted so i thought i would share.

    As of today any HTC Touch Pro owner that is in need of a replacement phone through service and repair will be glad to know that sprint will swap you into a different handset from a decent list of different handsets.

    I have included a screencap of the memo from the sprint portal and also a screencap of the exchange list.

    Please be aware that this is only available to customers that have ESRP or TEP or are still covered under the 1 year warranty.

    This very good info. Now what I need to know is under what condition are they exchanging these phones.

    Im on my 3rd touch pro and even tho this one has proformed the best out of all of them, in case I am forced to replace it again, I would consider a TP2.

    I do have full TEP.

    im on my 3rd too, i just called to get mine replaced and they now have a tp2 on its way to me free of charge.

    Just FYI, the online Sprint Advance Exchange still offers Touch Pro owners only a replacement Touch Pro:

    is all in the details
    can you be more specific as to what department(s) you talked to or transferred to?

    are you out of contract?
    what plan? how many lines? what did you use as leverage?

    ASC stands for Authorized Service Center, so perhaps this policy change only applies to in-store service. The technician presumably has to verify that your unit cannot be repaired on site.

    id like to know what number you dialed or what department you spoke to, im probably on my 11th-13th touch pro since november last year, im ok with the current one but my wife's tp is starting to bug out now and i know she'd be happy with a tp2

    My phone occasionally overheats during overnight charging, and locks up (requiring two soft resets to return to normal). Perhaps if I can "trigger" that, and bring the phone to a store in its locked-up state, I can get a Touch Pro 2?

    I just went into the store...any techs that did their homework (read today's memo) should be able to hook you up...mine will be in on Monday! I was having keyboard issues and problems with the lights on the buttons.
