    Question stupid Web Guard

Ok is it JUST me who has a repeating problem with the webguard on sidekick? I swear at least 2 times a month I have to call tmobile and they do the "age verification" and of course EVERY single time they say I fail it. I'm 32yrs old not 17 I do not need a webguard. Then they tell me I need to go to tmobile store to verify my age. Ok I've done this. But still EVERY time it says I fail. Even if I try doing it online it fails. I eventually complain alot and they transfer me and the 2nd person I talk to almost always turns the guard off immediatly. This last time I wasn't so lucky, its still on and blocking random sites. And every time I talk to them and they turn it off they tell me "I'm putting a note in so this does not happen again". Obvious lie.
    Anyway, is it just me?

Nope it isn't just you. I had this happen to me on 2 occasions. Had to go 12 miles to corp store both times with ID in hand[social security card] to prove age both times im 61..twice age people who work there. This seems to happen whenever phone reboots on its own. It seems to trigger the webguard to start working again. And guess what!! Phone just rebooted again and just lost all my contacts and email. However webguard seems to still be off. Hope stays off when [IF]..contacts come back on. Im still haveing problems with data service on phone for past week. The only reason I want web guard off is so I can get lottery results from state lottery . For some reason they consider this adult content?I hope you could get this issue resolved . Iknow how frustrated you can get.regards WIFI...

Just so that you know, every time you switch plans everything goes back to default. The web guard goes back to being on, voicemail comes back if you disabled it, etc. This is one thing I hate about the prepaid sidekick service. I have made a decision to go back to only postpaid.

I went through the same thing about getting the web guard disabled. It is bad enough to get a rep that barely speaks english, give them your information, just for them to goof it up on their end. You do know that is what happens sometimes, right?

I went into the store with identification and the rep had to call togo customer care and wait on hold like we do! I asked don't you have a direct number and the rep said no. We have to do things the same way you do!! Anywhoo, after 45 minutes trying to get the rep to understand what was being said on the phone, it was supposedly done. I left the store and guess what? It wasn't done and I had to call in again to redo it. Did not appreciate that one bit!

Also, for reference, I guess the two of you know there has been an outage for over a week now? If you have been having problems, you can thank T-Mobile and Danger for that! This web guard problem your having may or may not be included!
