LG Neon GT365 USB Cable Software

I just got a LG Neon GT365 phone... and I also ordered the USB data cable for it!

Where do I get the software? Or what software do you use?

I had a Motorola v400 /w USB cable a long time ago... and I could flash it to a v600, and do tons of cool hacks like de-brand it, change colors of everything, change around the main menu items, and lots more stuff. It used software like p2k, moto-tools, and a few others I cant remember!

Can you do anything like this with the LG Neon and a USB data cable? I cant find any software....

& whats the difference between the LG TE365 Neon and the LG GT365 Neon?

I've got the cable but am having trouble finding the support software to let me sync it to Microsoft outlook. I don't care if I've got to buy it, just need something that works!

Also be interested in this. Tired of the limitations with this phone. Want to be able to add ringtones, etc. Honestly, is there no-one that can answer the post?

Dang it I was hoping someone had some real info. I'm ready to BUY SOFTWARE to sync this thing with outlook. I can't find anything free.

Anyone know of anything commercial? Thus far, I'm going to give LG a big fat ZERO and avoid the brand...

I use to use Data Pilot (or was it Datapilot?) back in the day. it would back up the phone to the computer, then it could export and import into Outlook. Maybe that'll work for you.

No go on Datapilot. It isn't listed as supported. This is tough to believe a company would release a phone with so little software support. What good is a smartphone without, well, smarts?

Has anyone installed the LG software and had their Neon connect? I have tried repeatedly by usb and bluetooth. When hooked up by usb, this software says 'No Phones Connected'...I've tried with two. If I install another LG driver, it will at least connect by bluetooth, although it still won't do anything. If I install the driver included in this install, it won't even install the driver. I am SOOOOO frustrated with this phone and software, and also by the fact that no-one has posted if something has actually worked!

Try installing this?? U also have to change the connectivity settings from ur phone...hope this helps

I didn't want to install driver fetch, but did it anyway. As far as I can tell, it didn't find a new driver for the Neon. Does anyone know where I can find it? Also, how do I change the phone settings?

I had the same problem--got my USB data cable--realized I needed the software for it. In Searching I found this site. Read down "Rogers" had the answer:

I went there, got the software, and my cable went from acting as a USB charger, not so bad, to having the software to get my pictures from my phone to Windows Live Photo Gallery. I still want to be able to get music onto the phone from my laptap, will let you know when I figure out how that is done.
