shweet! Just manually applied the update. Like what others have reported, notification bar slides super fast now. This is my 1st Android. Even though other android phones and tivo been having this phased update scheme, I just don't like it personally. I don't wanna be the first 10k people who might get phones bricked, neither those keep checking if the new update is here. Too much confusion. VZW might need to think again given increased CS calls. It's definitely not something that I wanted to get what Droid does while idon't.

Did the update, took a couple of tries at the volume up/camera button step.

Had the same issue as FAU with my picture frame widget and gallery. Deleted and then replaced and all is well. Those were the only two that I have come across so far that were affected.

I was going to wait for the OTA but the idea of doing it myself was too hard to resist.

On my home screen I had a link to the Gallery.
After the software update, when I clicked on the Gallery link from the Home Screen, I got an error saying "Application is not installed on your phone."
I then slid open the programs menu and could launch the Gallery from there.
So I removed the Desktop Gallery link, and then replaced it with a new one.
    Now it works.

I think I'm either really slow or really tired...after releasing the "X" key at the screen with the triangle and exclamation point, I release "X" and try to hold the top volume button and camera button and the same time, but nothing happens. I can't get to the screen where I select the update on the SD card. Any advice?

One thing I wish they would have fixed is the browser not supporting animated gifs..... a local news site has a really good radar site but it doesn't animate on the Droid like it has done on every phone I have ever had plus my iPod touch....

ok applied the update, took about 3 minutes, everything seems to work EXCEPT
the row of keys on the bottom of the screen doesn't light up anymore.

    My keys do light up.

Did the manual update about a half hour ago. Frankly aside from the new unlock and a slightly faster camera, I honestly don't see any other difference whatsoever!

On the other hand, I think 2.0 was very buggy...my phone would lock on occasion, screen would stay dark very often when on a call after taking it away from my ear... and I am hoping this update fixed a lot of those things. Only time will tell.

Just did mine also. Very simple process. All widgets seem to function correctly still.

Nope, just make sure Auto Brightness is selected for the display.

Ok, got it to work again, but had to select auto brightness, deselect auto brightness then select auto brightness again, then all of a sudden the keys lit up.

Now it seems the keys will stay lit as long as the screen is lit. which was not the case before.

    Cool.

Now if they can only get my exchange activesync calender "authentication failed" issue resolved, it would be a perfect phone.

Yes, my kb does not light up anymore.

Another thing I noticed is on the market, the 3rd tab used to say Verizon, for vzw specific apps. It now says simply Downloads.

Can anyone with the Official update confirm the 3rd tab still says Verizon?

    Sounds like this:
There are also enhancements to other widgets, including the Facebook and picture widgets, which will require users to remove and reinstall the widget from the home screen.

UPDATE: My keys seem to be lighting up now for some reason. Strange about the verizon tab on market turning to downloads. Thats really annoying me.

UPDATE 2: vzw now displaying properly.

Gotta love how these issues fixed themself
