Just found a video of an unboxing of a Nextel Mexico i890. It is all in spanish but gives a good look at the phone and menu's. Can't wait to get this phone for my wife.

hey guys ive had the 890 for a while, preety good phone i like it. Push to open button is a bit small kinda annoying when trying to open it but regardless its a good phone. I changed the PTT light from blue to white, posted it in the hardware section if you guys wanna check out the inside of the phone go there

ya same reception havent noticed any dif, however i can tell you the speaker on the phone is 20% louder, the loudest setting is much louder than a 880 or 580 or i9. I love it i took it apart and its 2 huge speakers. They provide very good quality sound on the walkie talkie as well. Much better.

I'm guessing you haven't owned all that many phones. The phone itself plays a big role in reception. If you were around in the days of the i730, you'd understand a bit better....
