Months ago when I tried this... it just worked. It does not any longer. I've tried a variety of DNS settings for the T-mobile side of things and none of them connect. Or rather, I can ping an internet IP address *through* the Cradlepoint, through T-mobile, but no other lookups or traffic pass.
I'm on the grandfathered Total Internet with VPN plan. It doesn't seem to matter whether I'm using the internet2.voicestream.com APN or the epc.tmobile.com APN. The result is the same. Yes, I've searched. I was going to add a reply to the Dash 3g/router thread but didn't want to threadjack it.

in my experience,the tmobile dns servers aren't very good at handling redirects and things timeout waiting for name resolution. I use google dns instead and it works great.
try 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 as your dns servers.
