They're amazing all right. I had never heard of them before moving to Columbus. I wanted Time Warner, but the apartment complex I chose had an exclusive deal with WOW so I was "stuck" with them. almost immediately I saw differences between WOW, Time Warner and Buckeye Cable (the two providers i'd had in college and then after graduation). The WOW guy actually seemed to like his job, did great work without me having to stand over him and watch, and answered questions without making me feel stupid, or a pain in the butt for asking them. The only weakness I found was a channel lineup that was slightly smaller than other companies. Which is why I tried Uverse shortly after they became available in our complex. OOPS! Big mistake. Their product was cool looking, and I've seen it work well in friends houses, but it was terrible in my apartment. After a week of near constant headaches and nonfunctional internet, which I need for work, I gave up on Uverse(getting rid of them was another horror story, but I will save it for the proper forum), and have headed back to WOW. I actually liked them enough that having WOW service available was on my wife's and my list of criteria when we bought a house last year. Granted, we wouldn't have passed on a great house just to get WOW, but if we'd had to pick between 2 houses we liked equally, WOW would have been a factor, mainly due to the reliability of their internet.
