What the heck is the HTC Triumph?

    http://mobilesyrup.com/2010/04/24/te...te-touch-pro-2

Google came up with nothing.. I'm really hoping that it's something along the lines of the Desire or the Incredible. If anyone has any info, I'd certainly appreciate it.

I'd hope for the NA version of the Desire, don't know else it could be? Makes me want to hold out on the Nexus purchase until we find out though.

Touch Pro2 in white seems a little weird, waiting all the way till now to launch it. I would guess its for HSPA? If so better than the LG IQ but I dont know who would want to pick one up.

I agree with some of the comments on the mobile syrup article.. that it is not a white device but is a white colored information card for dealers to display with the handsets.

That being said, there was a rumor back in November of 2009 regarding the Touch Pro 2 being relaunched on HSPA - http://themobileninjas.com/2009/11/2...%80%A6in-hspa/

As far as I can see, Telus isn't currently selling any HSPA HTC devices with a physical keyboard. The IQ runs windows mobile 6.5 so it's not like there's a huge gap there. Maybe HTC has a bunch left over and is giving Telus a good deal on them.

My trigger finger's been pretty itchy on the Nexus One as well.. or the Desire.. or the Incredible. If we could get that on CDMA up here I would not hesitate for a moment.. (that way I can keep my $15 unlimited data haha)

    GC,

Then how about a sibling of Trophy?

I certainly hope not.. it's just an ugly blackberry running windows mobile. :P

Doesn't appear here so we might not see the handset, whatever it may be, until the second half of the year.

I've been waiting for an Android phone (hopefully Sense-infused) with a good physical keyboard, so I have my fingers crossed for this.

I WOULD jump on the Milestone, but playing with the dummy models has convinced me the keyboard just won't cut it.

When are we going to see a nice Android phone with a portrait qwerty keyboard. Such as this Sony Ericsson one, but running Android:

I really love that form factor. Sure it's a smaller screen. But, overall the phone is smaller.

    MC Armani G / GC,

Well, I have an awkward feeling about that Triumph - could be a CDMA/EVDO variant of the Trophy. Anyway. I am equally excited to see the Nokia E72 SKU showing up in some inventory screenshot last week

    jgon9,

As you wish, there could be a Salsa

Nokia does not make native CDMA phones. It would be an HSPA handset.

    nirbs,

    Greetings.

Nokia E72 supports TELUS' 3G+ network (UMTS/HSPA), but not the CDMA/EVDO network.

I am not too sure why you ask about the it in this HTC related thread though.

    Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry9630/5.0.0.419 Profile/MIDP-2.1 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/126)

Did I see an accelerometer on that Salsa?
