MMS settings for Samsung Corby Touch

    Hello all.

Trying to input settings at Samsung Corby Touch S3650

    I've looked here
    http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?t=369490
and various other threads, but no luck yet...

I am trying to input MMS and WAP settings into a Samsung GT-S3650.

for MMS, under MENU > MESSAGES > SETTINGS > MULTIMEDIA MESSAGE > PROFILES I enter the following:

    Set Name: Rogers mms
Access Name: ???? (tried media.com but wasn't sure)
    Auth Type: Normal
    User ID: media
    Password: mda01
Protocol: ??? (wasn't sure, options were "HTTP" and "WAP")
    Home URL: http://mms.gprs.rogers.com
    Proxy Address: 175.025.000.107
    Linger Time (sec): 80

    Then ADVANCED SETTINGS:
    Static IP: (unchecked)
    Static DNS: (unchecked)
Traffic Class: (options are "Subscribed", "Conversation" & "Streaming")

    For WAP:
    MENU > INTERNET > SETTINGS > INTERNET PROFILES >
    Set Name: Rogers WAP
Access Name: ???? (tried goam.com but wasn't sure)
    Auth Type: Normal
    User ID: wapuser1
    Password: wap
Protocol: ??? (wasn't sure, options were "HTTP" and "WAP")
    Home URL: http://mymobilehomepage.rogers.com
Proxy Address: 208.200.067.150 (also tried 175.025.000.107)
Secure Connection: (options are "OFF" and "ON")
    Linger Time (sec): 80

    Then ADVANCED SETTINGS:
    Static IP: (unchecked)
    Static DNS: (unchecked)
Traffic Class: (options are "Subscribed", "Conversation" & "Streaming")

It's not asking me for "Port", "APN" etc like is listed in various thread there.

    Any ideas out there?

    Thanks in advance.

Jazz 19. Exact same problem here. My SAMSUNG is set up exactly the same way. However. Still no replies on any of these forums. Very frustrating. Have you considered going to a 3rd party cell phone store? Or looking in Kijiji or craigslist for someone selling the ability to input the right settings?

Update. The important thing is to input the port number. Either 8080 or just 80, after the proxy address (in this case 175.025.000.107). So your entire proxy setting would read as follows, 175.025.000.107:80

That's it. If you enter those settings above you will not get connection. They are fine as far as they go. But they are not complete. The 80 has to be entered at the end, with a colon ( preceding it. (see above)

The only other further comment is that Rogers is still finding a way to get more money out of you. Because despite these settings you will not have full internet functionality, because your unlocked phone is not a "Rogers phone" and basically they will hold out on you. You end up paying $2.99 for 24 hours of internet service, including Facebook or whatever might already be part of your Pay As You Go or monthly contract service agreement. But they get away with it because, well.. Because we let them.. Canada has the worst mobile phone system in the world. Well, not the worst, we are about a half dozen from the bottom..

    CHeers!
