I know this is a month old, but I was wondering if the instructions provided in the files uploaded in the post above are only good for Windows XP / 2000 ? Has anyone successfully flashed the GW300FD in windows 7?

When I try and do this in windows 7, I can't choose the MTK driver as directed...

If it's giving you a "Driver not signed" error, you need to boot into test mode and sign the driver yourself.

Instructions are all over the internet, just run a quick google search.

I've been playing with different combinations of using DSEO to put my in test-mode, and signing mccidemo.sys, but I only got windows to recognize the device (in the off state).

Once I install the MCC generic device software, or whatever, I know I'm supposed to start the USB mapping, however should I do that with the phone on?

Can someone give me explicit instructions that include the state of the phone at each step? I'm sorry, I'm a huge newbie when it comes to this.

    Thanks again,

Never mind my last post. I figured it out, and have posted instructions on my blog: http://blog.pollackphoto.net/ (for anyone who's trying to do this to their phone with Windows 7).

I don't know why, but like an idiot, I expected the firmware flash to unlock the network lock? Boy was that silly of me.
