Best BlackBerry Storm 2 GPS Software

What is the best GPS software for the BlackBerry Storm 2 on the Verizon network?

I would have to say Garmin is the best, but it also probably costs the most.

For paid it is probably the Garmin as mentioned above. There are cheaper alternatives like Google Maps or BlackBerry maps, but you won't have the same features as Garmin. Another alternative is VZ Navigator. You can either pay monthly or by the day. 10 months of VZ Navigator will be the same as Garmin, so you need to take that into account.

So, Garmin makes a mobile version of their software that will run on the Storm2? I didn't know they made mobile stuff. I suppose it's a one time purchase. I'll check it out.

It looks like there is a free trial for 7 days.

I have it on my Tour. It works just likes a dash mounted car unit Garmin GPS would.

What exactly did you have in mind? Google Maps is free, and will get the job done, but you will sacrifice turn by turn voice directions.

Turn by turn directions are essential when you are trying to keep your eyes on the road. BlackBerry offers the Lifeinpocket app which gives you turn by turn directions, but it's pretty basic and no map that shows where you are and the progress you are making.

There are no "good" free options.

Better to just get an inexpensive Garmin nuvi and be done with it.

I agree. For the price of the app, you can get a good standalone gps that works just as well.
