This isn't a general question, but a very specific one.
I've been with Fido for a few years and don't want to leave.
I have been wanting to get an HTC Desire for awhile, and I almost bought an unlocked one online, but when I heard that the new Telus version would have better 3G speeds (instead of the dual-band 3G like the previous versions), I decided to wait.
But now I have the question: If I buy the Telus HTC Desire without a contract, unlock it, and connect it to Fido, will it still work at the high data speeds that it should? Will I still get OS updates? Will everything work correctly?
