I'm sure he can decide himself if he wants to answer or not....
I'm sure you can wait for the device to be officially announced and get off Michael's nuts too

I'll take one if it's under $600. Thank you.

Sounds good. Not too sure about the SGX540 and 1280×720 resolution.
Plus the MeeGo^1 quote doesn't boost too much of credibility of that spec list if it's direct quite. As it's more like Maemo Core + Harmattan UI + MeeGo compatibility layer on the N9 not MeeGo^1 or MeeGo 1.1, but that might be just nitpicking.

Sounds like Harmattan Maemo 6 = MeeGo1, which is mostly just marketing drek and we won't see "real" MeeGo until Meego2.

They could easily have still called Harmattan Maemo 6 and kept the MeeGo marketing for later. Probably too late to capitalize on the Intel-cooperative press but looks like they want to avoid the appearance of erratic press: Maemo 5 to MeeGo to Maemo 6 to MeeGo. so just go Maemo (5) to MeeGo, even if "MeeGo1" is still essentially Maemo 6 under the hood.

It's a bit more than that. MeeGo 1.1 got MeeGo core and the reference UI that's expected to be modified by the manufacturers.
Nokia will use Maemo core + harmattan UI.
Both of these will use MeeGo touch framework(that was ~3 months ago called Harmattan UI framework).

It's easy to see that normal user would get confused with all this Maemo core, Harmattan, Maemo 6, MeeGo handheld UX stuff. So Meego it is. Both will still use MeeGo touch framework and using Qt SDK applications will go both ways.

All of that for the claimed 450 Euro price that we've seen floating around? I say no way. Either the price is way higher or the specs are way lower. Plus, a 1/1.7" sensor in that body? Unlikely, even if it is 1.4cm thick.

You're assuming those specs are real. Some of them aren't even possible.

720p screen resolution on a 4" screen. It's possible (anything is possible in a laboratory and millions of dollars at your disposal) but not in a consumer device that sells at a reasonable price. The screen would probably end up being the most expensive component.

Besides, I don't think we need to get into the whole "limits of the human eye" thing again.

I would imagine same WVGA as N900 with 720p output over the HDMI. Pretty big device so wouldn't surprise me if the N8 camera module made it, but we'll see.

Sites are quoting "leaked specs" from a Chinese forum. Seriously? Any of these "specs" are suspect.

HD screen is one thing that I think will not happen. It is too much.
