When do you think Shaw will launch its mobile service?

The plans for mobile

“Accordingly, we are accelerating our wireless capital spend and expect to invest approximately $100-million in fiscal 2010. The investment in this new business will primarily be funded by cash on hand.”

Analysts have been waiting for this news for some time. The company bought $190-million of wireless spectrum at a government auction in 2008.

Tough to put up towers during the winter so March is a no go.
Must get to market before the 'back to school' rush so that credibility is built by the Christmas rush.

Talked to a Shaw insider - probably going to see a late December 2011 launch in Alberta/BC, perhaps an early 2013 launch in Manitoba if at all.
