What was the upload on the iFail 8?
6Mbps. Not bad, but I’ve noticed the speeds have consistently been nearly half of what I get in fringe areas.

I have an iFail 8 myself on Sprint, but it’s not like any of that advanced cellular tech will do me any good where I’m at with Sprint.

Awesome man! You’ve got myself and Checker79 on here from Union County.

Verizon’s got a great network built out in Bridgewater. Just wish they would add to the damn DAS system already! PCI 28 (on top of the Marriott) does a great job of covering the top floors, but the bottom level is 1 bar of B13.

Same here! I'm from kenilworth so Mrizz96 and I get to see how well they perform in our market. Verizon is great up route 22 thru bridgewater. My brother lives in Lebanon and they just added a new macro about a mile away from his house. It just recently got a split sector and is tri band. What a difference in regards to service in his basement. I use to fall to 3G and now it will hold on to 2 bars LTE ( band 13) with speeds in the 10-20 Mbps range. AT&T is also on the same macro but they're positioned on the far bottom so he will drop to one bar hspa in his basement.

I'm on double data for life plan. Verizon was running a promo for fios customers last year so I was able to get 18 Gigs free for life. It works out well with rollover. I get 42 gigs per month and then still rollover on average about 8-10 gigs. So in total I get almost 50 Gigs per month for $95.00

Have you noticed congestion or throttling issues in our area? Trying to judge how bad it would be if I upgrade. Don’t wanna deal with the slowdowns when I need it the most. PM me so we don’t hijack the thread.

Nothing over 100Kbps since I hit my data limit. This experiment is over. Staying with T-Mobile. Besides, if the merger goes thru, they'll need my money to help pay off all that debt they're about to acquire. 😄

Mixed reviews because it truly depends on your area. Chicago is one of those really strong markets. Some aren't so lucky.

Have you considered a VZW prepaid SIM? Prepaid is prioritized below postpaid, so it might give you an idea. It wouldn't cost much to try.

Yes it all depends on area. Your lucky it works in Chicago fine . Sadly here in Los Angeles it's not that strong . I'm this close to go back to TMobile . . I tried everything New phone ,new sim on my s8 plus. I haven't gone over my data limit so I'm not throttled. And it's real bad and slow LTE here. I should of gotten a prepaid sim first like you said. I honestly can't believe how bad Verizon is here . One street I can be getting 50 Mbps walk down another street I get less than 1 Mbps . And I mean kbps speeds. I was in bell gardens/cudahy area today which is a 20 min drive from downtown LA . AND standing outside with full bars LTE . And absolutely no data was coming tru. Tried running a speed test couldn't even do it . I got network communication issues on the speed test app . Tried loading a webpage and NADA .my mom has an iPhone 7 plus and same thing so it's not the phones . Verizon really need to upgrade their Network here . Heck coming from T-Mobile I can tell you one thing . T-Mobile never ever and I mean ever was this slooow. And it was more stable fast LTE everywhere even if your in a moving car. Speed didn't slow down .with Verizon you go down the wrong neighborhood data doesn't work or it's usually bad slow in the kbps range even tho it's full bars LTE .

Location, Location, Location. All of the carriers have their weak spots. Have you tried AT&T yet? They’ve been amazing for me in West LA.
