Safe to give ESN/MEID of phone to potential Craiglist or Ebay buyer before purchase?
Do you feel it is safe to give out the ESN/MEID of a phone you're selling via Craigslist or Ebay to a potential buyer before they buy the phone? Can they do anything nefarious with the ESN/MEID such as activate your phone and disappear without buying? Could they take the ESN/MEID and report the phone lost/stolen using just the ESN/MEID?

if they only have your ESN/MEID, they really can't do to much with it.... as long as you dont give them your phone number and all your contact info. They could write the ESN to a different phone to put that phone onto another carrier if they really really wanted too, but highly doubtful most people out there, even realize how to do that... I wouldnt worry abt it to much.
