HTC Desire Z on Att 3G

I have the HTC Desire Z from Bell Canada with Att's 3g bands and it works great.

I have the Android data plan because I got a captivate but I have heard that people have been able to get dumbphone unlimited data on unlocked phones. Am I obligated to keep the Android data for the length of my contract or can I call in and switch my data plan?

You can switch to the dumbphone data plan. I'm also using the Desire Z from Bell on at&t. $10 data plan with my family texting plan.
I had a Nexus One and switched to the Desire Z just days before AT&T started forcing the rest of the Nexus One owners to data plans.
I'm very happy with this phone running CyanogenMod. AT&T should have picked it up.
