A list of UMA Enabled Phones

Here is a list that I have been compiling for UMA Enabled Phones:

    Blackberry Bold 9700
    Blackberry Bold 9780
    Blackberry Pearl 8120
    Blackberry Curve 8320
    Blackberry Curve 8520
    Blackberry Flip 8220
    Blackberry 8900
    Blackberry 8820
    Blackberry 9100
    Blackberry 9300
    Blackberry 9700
    Blackberry 9800
    HP iPAQ 510
    LG KE520
    LG CL400
    Motorola A910
    Motorola Z6W
    Nokia 6086
    Nokia 6136
    Nokia 6301
    Nokia 7510
    Nokia E73
    Qisda/BenQ e72
    Sagem my419x
    Samsung P180
    Samsung P200
    Samsung P220
    Samsung P250
    Samsung P260
    Samsung P270
    Samsung T336
    Samsung T339
    Samsung T409
    Samsung T707
    Samsung T739 Katalyst
    SIMTech N6000
    T-Mobile (HTC) Shadow 2009
    T-Mobile (HTC) MyTouch
    T-Mobile (HTC) MyTouch 4G
    T-Mobile (HTC) G2
    T-Mobile (LG) Optimus T
    T-Mobile (Motorola) Defy

As far as I know, Black Berry UMA enabled phones can do the hand off from voice to wifi. I believe this is because they are hardware UMA enabled (though I have not found concise information on this yet). While phones like the HTC G2 have it software enabled and can not do the hand off.

If you have any other phones to add to this list, please post it here and I will update this. It would also be nice if we could also note which phones can do the hand off and which ones can not.

Mods - Can we sticky this?

    Wi-Fi Calling with Hand-Off
Nice, but the Nokia 6301 would last about 6 minutes on wifi, even when I was right next to the router.

    Wi-Fi Calling without Hand-Off
So far my G2 has been rock solid with Wi-Fi calls. I have been all over my house and I think my longest call was 40 minutes.

If I can make longer Wi-Fi calls without a drop call, I don't mind telling the person on the other that I'll call you back.

I'm grandfathered in on [email protected] (finally)

I have a Motorola Cliq which used the wifi for calling but still used my minutes. I am looking to get either a MT4G or Nexus S. Will I be able to use this feature on either phone without using my minutes?

Do you mean the $9.99/month plan with unlimited minutes?

You should call TMO CS to reconfirm - but the answer should be yes.

On the MT4G, yes. On the Nexus S, no.

The Nexus S does not work with T-Mobile HS @Home (UMA) calling unfortunately.

Were you able to get the free UMA calling feature or the $9.99 add-on?

I got the $9.99 add-on. What is the Free UMA one? Maybe I can change? I am now leaning towards to MT4G as it supports UMA (without the handoff) and it doesn't work on the cliq.

    There is no 'free' UMA.
If you are grandfathered for $9.99/month add-on that means you have unlimited minutes. If you don't have the add-on, your UMA minutes come out of your bucket of minutes.

dmao actually there was... It was a promo run for a certain period of time that has it listed at $0 instead of$9.99 for the unlimited UMA calling feature. But it is no longer offered to even be put on accounts.

Are you going to add the E73 to the list?

Wasn't that the offer that combined free mobile-to-mobile with unlimited UMA, all for $10/month?

No I don't believe that was the one. Apparently it looks like this in the system:

    'HS @Home UL FTS Promo' - $0.00

And it is only the UMA option but free instead of $9.99. I don't think there is any loyalty rep that can add that specific promo code on now.

Does the BB Pearl 8120 require a BB plan too? We're looking to get an older phone for our DD.
