A quick little comparison (Wind vs Mobilcity) most of you already know **PIC**

    I just made this up.
Btw, I shared previously the $40 Plan is extended till 31st...
I don't know about 31st anymore but official words from Windmobile.ca says it is extended til 16th.

Basically...$40 same deal , coverage areas differs

Rather similar to Winds, except with crappier prices.

Are you kidding. Their coverage area is smaller than Mobilicity. It drops off after Steeles Ave.

    i don't know about Public...and not interested
correct me if I'm wrong but from what I know, I think they only have less than 5 handesets and they run on CDMA which is would be orange vs apples because Mobi&Wind uses AWS, am i correct?

That's a nice comparison graphic. Helps to put things into perspective.

You guys got me wondering so I went to check the Public Mobile site, man, they only got four (4) phones! Their network seems pretty small but their roaming seems to be piggybacking on someone else. Anyway, their site is so-so but nothing like the HTML disaster that is Chatr.

I switched from Wind to Mobi to take advantage of $40 holiday plan... there are pros and cons

    1. Mobi also has dead spots within coverage area, one is just where my house is (Rutherford/Dufferin). I had no problem with Wind's reception inside however there are problems with Mobi.
    2. However Mobi does allow to roam on Rogers for free in the problematic areas in their home zones (shame on wind for not doing so even for money)
    3. Data speeds are more less same at my office and my house, however I noticed less audio drops with Wind while driving to/from work listening to online radio
    4. Non latin encoded sms do not go through with Mobi
    5. List of countries where roaming is available does not include China/Japan/Korea which is critical for me as I go there on business and depend on roaming. I don't want to cary two cellphones

So... grass is better on the other side... no solution is perfect

The only thing missing on the mobilicity's 40 plan is missed call alerts, which i think is very important.

^^^ Mobile call alerts? What do you mean? The texts you get after you missed a called? Like Fido's WhoCalled? Service? I find that service heck annoying.
If someone wants you and your phone is off then leave a message. That is what is VM is for.

Are those the ones you were refereeing to?
