Asides from the funky Nokia those a 'nice' by fido standards.

To be honest i wouldn't mind a Fido branded 3G curve...

I'll take the Curve. But I'm still loling at the rest.

    FIDO $60/10GB + 5 hours unlimited data
WIND $15 AITF unlimited data (10GB full speed)

    Curve 9300.

Rogers ain't about to let Fido get the Bold business users. Curve = consumer based, and lower price. Not even a 9700....just forget about the 9780 lol.

I always figured the Pearl 3G would be launched on Fido. Now that the old Pearl is completely discontinued it'd be the opportune time to put it out on the market.

Yeah, that's not a bad thing either, since IMO the 9700 is a POS. Small keyboard, very fragile, and they don't work half the time thanks to RIM's 'engineering' OS F-ups.

No one actually wants those. They're not selling at all by any of the other carriers.

Also i'm pretty sure there's an eligibility criteria to use a pearl; you must posses a purse & be <15years old.

The Pearl is...interesting. It's like the mini-me of the bold. I played with one and can't email on it to save my life - plus the formatting of the documents etc is a bit weird because of the screen size. Having said that, it's internals are pretty good and since it's not selling anywhere one can pick one up from Telus for 200 bucks, unlock for cheap and use it until it blows up. Don't wait for it to come on Fido if you want a Pearl...it'll cost the same as the old Pearl..too much.

When are these phones coming? Q5???

Opportune may not have been really the right word without the disclaimer of "in the eyes of the upper executives in charge of running Old Yellow." I haven't used a Pearl, 3G or otherwise, and have no particular desire to do so in the future.

And yes, it would absolutely be priced on no term far above what you should reasonably ask for it.

Curve 3G is decent for Fido but as long as Rogers owns Fido there will never be any high end smartphones for us aside from the iPhone.
