    @nufan81,

    what is your employers email service? is it Lotus Domino or GroupWise (since you've mentioned its not exchange) - Domino has a Lotus app (iLotus believe) available for iPhones (and the Domino admin can setup as a push service as well; although the app needs to be running).

    No, Canadian providers do not issue an email address UNLESS - like Rogers - you subscribe to home internet service (Rogers = Yahoo).

    I'm very curious what this email service your provider uses (unless its like Squirrelmail via a hosted computer OS from a server and paid for domain).

    You can set up aliases to use in the from field. In the account setup, add the alias address after the main address with each followed by a comma.

    indeed it can... that's how i'm doing my gmail right now on my ip4... just need to put m.google.com as the server

    works great and provides push email with your gmail

    as for VPN - maybe try the Junos Pulse VPN Client (get the via App Store)... assuming your company supports... I believe it might only connect when needed and/or while connected, still allows for regular internet connection (ie. outside of your VPN)...
