    Lightbulb Dell Streak Screen Problems

    FYI for Dell Streak Owners.

I was having problems with my screen becoming unresponsive after keeping it in my Jeans pocket.
The simple avoidance solution is to keep it in the pocket with the screen facing out.
The fix if you are having this problem already is to Calibrate the screen.

    1. Turn off the Streak.
    2. Hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons and turn it on
    3. In the Recovery options, select "Calibrate Screen" using the Volume buttons to scroll up and down. Select it with the Camera Button.
    4. Put the Streak on a table and let it do it's thing. **Do Not Touch the Screen**

It'll do the calibration twice, and only takes about 30-45 seconds.

That's it! Hope it helps anyone having screen issues.

I returned my Streak due to the screen being unresponsive. I would take it out of my pocket, and try to unlock the screen, but the unlock slider would slid about halfway and drop back.

I thought of returning mine for another unit until I read about the screen calibration. It fixed all my screen issues.

What could be causing it? I mean from what you both implied the screen became unresponsive after taking it out of your pockets. I haven't heard about this screen issue for the Dell Streak

This is thought to be caused caused by static electricity. Simple fix: pocket the device with the screen facing outward.

Yeah the electricity in you body f*^ks with capacitive screen. Carrying it face-out solved it for me. I'm gonna do the calibration thing though, hell it can't hurt,

I too faced such type of problem many times. Many times I feel my phone is restarting itself.
