Wow...the quality control has really gone downhill on the CDMA iPhone 4. I got another one, and this one has backlighting issues at the top of the screen. You don't really notice it unless you look at it at an angle and have a bright color on the screen.

I'll probably live with it, but I shouldn't have to. Where's the quality control?

My vzw iPhone 4 - my first and only - is far better than any AT&T iPhone I've had... So any quality issues aren't CDMA related... Just bad luck...

Just got a 32GB Black Verizon iPhone today (switched from a 32GB i4 at&t version). The VeriPhone is fine except my (-) volume button is somewhat loose. It's hard to explain, but if you've ever pressed a DSLR shutter button (half down to focus, fully pressed to take photo) thats what my (-) button feels like. The (+) button is fine.
Your results may vary. Network performance differs per user location.

Sorry to hear your volume button is loose. Sadly, QC at Foxconn and Pegatron is not good enough. I have yet to hold a perfect iPhone 4 in my hand.

I think I may try to get it replaced. It feels almost like if I push too hard the button will get stuck inward.

I had my second bad one replaced at The Apple Store. If you have one in your area, or remotely near, then go there. Perfect service. Just be sure to make an appointment on apple.com

I live about 280 miles away from a store. I'll have to get it replaced through apple care. I'm not sure if I'll get it replaced yet though. It seems to getting better now that I've been fiddling with it. I may just keep it and if it breaks or gets looser, I'll get it exchanged.

EDIT: Called Apple and they are sending me a replacement. Couldn't stand the jiggling sound when typing.

If you value battery life, exchanging your iPhone 4 for something else will immediately make you want to go back to the iPhone. The only phone that's come close for me is the Atrix.

I also have both TB and iP4. Since I most likely have to wait til fall for a bigger screen and who knows when LTE comes I'm leaning to the TB. Haven't had a problem with either phone.
