Healthy Demand for iDEN on eBay

Everyone says Nextel dead-have you checked out completed listings on eBay for Iden/Nextel? People are still buying these phones.Just check out completed i580.they still sell for 40-50 used and over 100.00 new.Since sprint not issuing new models people just buy single units and bulk on eBay.It seems that there are two worlds out there, the tech savvy that dismiss iDEN as dead, and the backward type simple people that dont read any online forums that just want a reliable type of no frills phone.seems Nextel not dead-Yet

Of course there are millions of users who are in contracts and on boost who need phones so they will go to eBay. Its not dead but its losing customers at a fast rate and sprint is spending a lot of money to keep it going when its not going to be bringing the customers in.

Yes, I know. Cause they most likely dont want to piss them off if they dump the service.

Nextel is great. I wish my friends and family used them. I used to be able to chirp my friends but not anymore... so I dumped boost iDEN.

I remember always hearing the chirp when I was out in public... malls... stores... sporting events... festivals... but not anymore.

Living in San Diego, CA so close to the Mexican border, you hear chirps all the time. I don't know what all of the Mexicans on NII are going to do when they want to visit the US for phones anymore... My wife and I talk to ALL of her family in Mexico City, Tijuana, and Ensenada through DC all the time.

Thats a good question. I myself travel to NII countries all time. When they pull the plug on iden I will leave Sprint since they will be on the same level with everybody else with intl roaming.
