Best Prepaid Phone BYOD To Verizon Prepaid For Hotspot?

Does this exist? Ideally I'd like to replace my MiFi 2200 which costs $80 for 5GB (Prepaid) with a decent phone that has hotspot capabilities and get the unlimited 3G data + 450 voice for ~$75 a month. Is this possible and what's the best handset choice(s) right now?

You can get an android phone and root it. The built in wifi hotspot app wont work on prepaid, so it will have to be rooted and a 3rd party wifi tether app installed. I have open garden on my Lg Vortex.

Figured that. What is a good Android phone for Verizon Prepaid? I wish they'd allow iPhone 4 on prepaid, really don't want to mess with Android, but I'm considering getting my feet wet...

Lg Vortex or if you can find a motorola droid. Stay away from the Motorola citrus. Its not the best one out there.

Droid X would most likely be your best bet. It was on the prepaid site too in the $300 range but sold out quick. Easy to root and overall a pretty good phone.

Which bring your own phones will work now because I'm unable to use a curve or an eris.

No LTE phones. No iPhones. Most other smartphones are OK but you must carry a monthly calling plan (not including the $50 unlimited) and the mandatory $30 unlimited data.
