    I wouldn't be surprised if much of Maemo was folded into this under the hood. It just wouldn't make sense not to.

    Android is never an option because the apps run in a JVM, which is a resource hog. If they want to bring phones to the lowest price point they need them to run code natively or with native like efficiency (which Qt delivers).
    The word 'Pentaband' means '5 Bands', from the Greek word 'pente' meaning '5'. For a phone to be pentaband it has to support 5 bands. If the phone has AWS support, it doesn't automatically mean that it is pentaband.

    might as well have kept symbian going for the low end....
