Just tried to activate my 4G (Samsung Droid Charge) phone on PagePlus. Programming folks at PP said it's not going to happen because 4G phones won't work on their network.
My question is this: Does anyone know of future plans regarding 4G and PagePlus? Or, should I just sell my phone and get a 3G one?
Thanks in advance.

You're welcome. Sometimes people just need a little reminder to do a simple search to look for an easy-to-find answer before asking questions. Good luck!
It's interesting that you would say that about rudeness. I've posted helpful replies, and it seems that you are the one that has posted rude comments instead of following my advice to find the answer to your question.
Heard that id you take the 4g sim out you should be able to manually program the phone.
Leave the sim in, ley it fail to program 3 times, then it should let you manually prog the phone. Then set the phone to cdma/wcdma only then program it normally.
Hopefully it would work, I do not have the phone so can't test.

which phone?
Guys, I tried to activate my Droid Charge today but could nit. Tried everything - with SIM without SIM - nothing worked.
yes, please give us details. This is why I just joined the forum.
I am working with a PagePlus rep who tells me that any Android (Verizon) will work but 4G phones will only get 3G data access for now so you'd be saving money by going with a 3G phone. But it should at least work so whoever you are working with is giving you wrong info. In another thread, someone is using the HTC Thunderbolt with PP, albeit at 3G speed.
There was a detailed video on YouTube with someone showing the steps on how to get a Thunderbolt working. I have no idea if it would work for a Charge but if you can find the video, I think it would be worth a try. I remember it vaguely and it used CDMA Workshop to change some settings and load a prl onto the phone.
I agree, 4G is a marketing thing, its only available in limited areas anyway. Any 4G phone will work, you just won't get the 4G benefit.
