What frequency speed is T-mobile running?

I want to know what frequency speed is T-mobile running? I did a little Google search and it looks like its 1700/2100 speed Mhz. Is that true?

So does it mean that I can still have 3G speed if I do not have 1700 Mhz frequency on the phone? I am trying to find out which phone has faster 3G speed.

Also does LTE 1700 work with T-mobile? I saw HTC Vivid has LTE 1700.

Q: You mean what spectrum band does T-Mobile USA use for 3G?
A: T-Mobile USA uses the AWS 1700 band. It is a paired band. Not to be confused with the Euro 2100MHz band.

For the phone to work on T-Mobile's 3G network, it has to say WCDMA/UMTS/HSPA AWS, or 1700. Plain and simple.

LTE 1700 will not work on T-Mobile's 3G network, unless T-Mobile starts offering LTE service on that band.

You can't take an AT&T or Verizon 4G LTE device and use it on T-Mobile's 3G network.
