All three of them are pretty even out in Vancouver. I recently switched to from Fido to Pm and was confused why I had no coverage at some sky train stations. Had I had known maybe I would have not switched but I’m still saving some $ being on Pm. Overall browsing wise I can’t tell the difference. I never did Speedtest so I can’t really compare.

As for max 3G speeds, it depends on the flavour of 3G. Remember Bellus has dual cell 3G in large swaths of the country. I just tested my 3G speed on my Telus device in Vaughan and got 24Mbps down 🙂
I was somehow able to roam on Bell LTE while in rural Quebec even though it was well within Rogers coverage area (that also had LTE). I was also able to force roam on Telus in Manitoba two years ago but only data worked, not voice.

Does it count against your data testing on the app?

Yes but it uses less than the Speedtest app.

I've been noticing improved speeds as well lately in Laval, QC whereas before at home I'd barely make it to 18mbps I'm getting between 40-60mbps. I'm satisfied now. This is on the same Galaxy Note 8 I've been using

Rogers LTE speed tests. 1/4 mile times go here!

Rogers has been very busy upgrading tower equipment in a lot of places around here. Antenna panels are being swapped for much larger ones, they’re installing many more RRUs (remote radio units), and there’s quite a bit more cable being connected between antenna panels and the radios. Unfortunately where I live it hasn’t made a difference as my area desperately needs a new site...nothing is planned though as confirmed by a Rogers employee in their wireless escalation team. Having said that, I have managed to run some tests from my wife’s iPhone 6 in some other places where I’ve noticed newly installed equipment, and speeds are much better...from 15-20 Mbps before the upgrades to 50-70 Mbps now. Also, in field test mode, it showed 4 transmitting antennas now whereas before it said 2. Hope they keep the momentum going and also focus on installing NEW sites where they really need them!!

Test in Abbotsford Bc. Rogers couple months back added a tower here and it’s a pretty good improvement. Usually get 1-2 bars LTE now getting 4 https://imgur.com/a/PxKhB
