Rogers LTE speed tests. 1/4 mile times go here!

I didn’t check the bands. The field test mode on iPhones with Intel modems doesn’t work well. I notice the information gets stuck for a long time or until the phone is rebooted. For example, it’ll show the primary band as B7, and then when checking again hours or days later in an area where there’s no chance of getting B7 signal, it still shows B7. The info doesn’t update in real time like it does on the Qualcomm models.

And to answer your question, yes, Rogers now has B2 LTE in the GTA. I believe it’s only 15MHz though. They also added another 5MHz wide B4 carrier, so they now have 15MHz B4 + 5MHz B4 along with 20MHz B7, 15MHz B2 and 5MHz B12/17.

I’m not privy to LTE CA combos on the s8+ or any other Android device. Maybe a fellow Samsung user can chime in?

Hey Toolcube, a trick that I use to cycle the field test mode a little faster then a full restart is to use the clear apps from memory trick. Hold the power button until the turn off screen shows up, then hold the home button until the screen blinks (goes black for a split second then back to the app). This seems to cycle the app back to a fresh state.
While it may be a pain, it is better then turning off and on the phone. I'm not sure how this is done with an iPhone X.

I really wish Apple would add a truly real time field test mode. With all the bells and whistles.

Edit: I guess I should have added a YouTube link just in case my rambling didn't work lol
