Is that on an iPhone X? I wonder which bands it’s aggregating because speeds should be higher with full signal and if aggregating 3 bands...

Yeah it’s on iPhone X. I think the speeds are kind of high. One time I tested with 4 bars and only got 75 down. It could be the Fido speed test is inacurate compared to ookla. I just use the Fido app since it uses less data.

Or could be low SINR (signal to noise ratio). Not sure if there’s an easy way to check that on iPhone X but if the value is below 20, it could be the reason why speed is not as high as it should be (assuming the site you were connected to had 3CA).

iPhone X (Intel modem) has a really nice field test mode that shows PCC/SCC and associated info in much more details than the old one still used on Qualcomm ones. Same code as before.

Size: 25.9 KB At my school in Peterborough, ON. Band 7 20MHz + Band 12 5MHz. Field test shows that Band 12 is being aggregated twice but I'm pretty sure it's not possible. The EARFCN on both bands are different which makes me think it's actually Band 7 + 12 + 12. Name: ImageUploadedByHoFo1519739017.966400.jpg

Hmm, the fact that the PCI is different on that 2nd B12 carrier (5095) is quite suspect. Also, from a quick glance of sites online, I don't see any CA combo with 7A - 12B (only 12A). However, it is possible to do 2/4/5/66A - 12B, so having 2 B12 carriers is possible. But I have not read actual latest 3GPP spec to see if they added 7A into there.
Are you sure the first page didn't update by the time you got to the second one?

I'll check this morning. I don't usually see CA on band 7 but I think there is CA because I don't think 139 down on an iPhone 7 Plus is possible...but maybe

Of course 139 Mbps download is possible on an iPhone 7 Plus.

My iPhone SE only has the cellular modem of an iPhone 6 / 6 Plus. On Band 7 with 20 MHz you mentioned — but on TELUS — my fastest download speed was 141.70 Mbps and fastest upload was 45.1 Mbps.

    I just checked GSMarena.com and your iPhone 7 Plus is capable of ‘LTE-A (3CA) Cat9 450/50 Mbps’.
TELUS: Unlimited Canada-wide Talk, Text and 15 GB Data
Koodo: Unlimited Canada-wide Talk, Text and 8 GB Data
chatr: $60 Unlimited In-zone Talk, Text and Data (20 GB at 3G speed)

Oh i know the iPhone 7 Plus is capable of 450mbps I just thought it would be max for a 20MHz channel.

    The 7+ can aggregate 3 20Mhz bands for a theoretical max speed of 450mbps (150mbps x3)
