I have read conflicting posts regarding how much data one should expect on Simple Mobile. All of those posts preceded the reduction from $60 to $50. Does anyone know how much data to expect on the $50 plan? At what point does SM throttle?
Thank you.
What kind of speeds are you getting on the $50 plan?

The $50 "Unlimited" data & voice plan is limited to 2gb. The average dl speed I get with this plan is ~ 7 mb/sec (~ 15 mb/sec peak).
Throttling
Yes, they will throttle you down once you reach 2gb cap. The new speed is only about 230 kb/sec
Even with throttling, I had used over 3gb of data before receiving suspension notice.
Seems reasonable considering Straight Talk SIM T-Mobile customers can hit 14mbps.

In case anyone cares...
This morning I measured 7.63 Mbps DL and 1.75 Mbps UL using the SpeedTest app on an unlocked iPhone 4S with the SimpleMobile 4G $50 unlimited plan in two different cell sites north of Seattle which obviously have been refarmed by T-Mobile for 3G on 1900Mhz. Typical speeds over multiple tests fell with in the expected 5-7 Mbps DL range and 1.7-2.3 Mbps UL range.

So the question is who gives you the most data - simple or straight Talk? I'm on simple $40 and up to 3gb so far.
