Can you get free WAP on a Samsung Intensity 2 (SCH-U460) on the nationwide share plan

I am on the nationwide family share plan and would like to use free WAP. I have made the changes to the settings to point to my proxy, etc., but I am still being charged data usage. Is there a way to use WAP without the data charges on this phone and plan? On my old America's choice plan, I would just use minutes...there was no data charge. I don't know if it is the plan, phone, or both causing the charges.

    Thanks!

It is your plan. There is no MOU (minutes of use) with any Nationwide plan. Only with AC and older plans.

    Thanks!

That's what I figured, but wanted to be sure before I gave up.
