Romney's Company Forces U.S. Flag to Be Lowered in Illinois

It took place as Chinese workers replaced U.S. workers losing their jobs. Watch and share the story of Sensate workers in Freeport, Ill., to see how Romney is selling out American workers and moving jobs to China.

Romney and Bain: Ashamed of America?

The Presidential Candidate holds major stock in a company called Sensata. The company recently made factory officials take down the American flag when they were forced to train their Chinese replacement workers, according to Tom Gaulrapp, with the United Steelworkers Union.

Right now in Freeport, Illinois, some 170 workers at an auto sensor plant are sleeping in tents to protest Bain-owned Sensata Technology’s decision to ship their jobs to China.

Romney claims he knows nothing about this.

But the New York Times explains: “[Mitt Romney] owns about $8 million worth of Bain funds that hold 51 percent of Sensata’s shares. If Sensata saves money by closing the Freeport plant, that could add money to Mr. Romney’s trust accounts, now or after the election.”

This is taking place as Mitt Romney tries to convince people to believe that he doesn’t know about Bain's shipping American jobs overseas.

He is trying to place distance between himself and Bain Capital, a pioneer of outsourcing where Romney made a fortune as CEO.

Watch and share the Sensata workers’ story at www.usw.org/election2012.

This is ironic how the far right have unsuccessfully tried to paint our President Obama as something other than American. But here we have a presidential candidate in Romney who has no problem shipping jobs overseas. This one issue should disqualify Romney for office of the President of the United States.

Sensata Illegally Threatens Workers For Organizing

    10/26/12
Bain-owned Sensata Charged with Labor Violations for Threatening, Retaliating Against Employees

NLRB Charges Filed as Company Threatens to Shut Down Plant Early if Protests Continue

Unfair labor practice charges against Sensata Technologies were filed with the National Labor Relations Board this morning after the Bain-owned company threatened to shut their Freeport plant down immediately if its employees continued to organize to stop the outsourcing of their jobs to China.

The Sensata workers were shocked to hear yesterday that Sensata management asked the Freeport Police to relay a message to employees that they would close the factory earlier than planned if employees continued to protest at the plant. The plant is scheduled to be shut down in December, with the jobs and equipment shipped to a new plant in China.

“Not only are they shipping our jobs to China, they are also trying to take away our rights as American workers,” said Joanne Penniston. “We are not going to be intimidated. We are going to stand up for our rights and our jobs.”
Nine people have been arrested for protesting at the plant so far, and the protests show no sign of slowing down.

It's going to interesting to see how this plays out. Wonder if Romney will have to testify...

We can wish Romney was the nice person that he pretends to be but the paper trail suggest otherwise. That being said I know that it's hard to be on the losing end of an election. It stings. I would just repeat what Senator Stephen Douglas said in his concession speech to President Lincoln. "Our Union must be preserved. Partisan feeling must yield to patriotism. I am with you, Mr. President, and God bless you."
