Yup. And that's why I left and headed back to one of The Big Three.

Not only was I losing data randomly, I was also losing voice connectivity for long periods of time (up to an hour) for the simple reason that the node I was on was overloaded (as confirmed by customer service).

You get what you pay for.

happens all the time in ottawa.

it seems to happen when i try to multi-task with data (eg. stream radio and also load webpages or tether).

but it also happens sometimes when i'm just doing one thing. eg. streaming radio
Managed to get Mobilicity to act and improve on 4 items.

Virtually no data connection in Toronto east of the DVP. And can't get a hold of support. Are you gearing down to go out of business and flee the country?

Whenever my phone catch a HSPA+ signal, data becomes extremely flaky. Happens almost everywhere.

Honestly I find no difference in data speed between H+ and 3G. Generally, the phone jumps back and forth between the two. Usually on a rather large download, the phone tends to stay on 3G.

Yes Voice and Data for over one year.
You can see the signal just drop off and die on multiple handsets

I've experienced this problem with and without the proxy. Testing in a residential area in the GTA, the problem only occurs for me between 6pm-12am. Strong signal with 3G indicator but little to no data coming through. My conclusion is that Mobi is prioritizing data when a tower encounters congestion or reaches max capacity (Spectrum limit, connection limit, bandwidth limit, hardware limit?). Based on the premium data thread on these forums they're prioritizing premium users since switching from basic to premium apparently fixes the issue. Setting a cap on basic users is one thing but cutting us off intermittently for people who pay more is completely unacceptable.

That is my opinion and I could be completely wrong.
When you do things right, people won't be sure you've done anything at all.

You are exactly correct - I experience the same thing. To get my data usable again I go pay the $20 bucks and the problem is fixed.

In Ottawa/Gatineau this is a big problem lately. Data used to be terrific. Now every few minutes data just stops. It shows full bars, and the phone works - but no web or streaming comes through. Since it's just data cutting out, I strongly suspect this is Mobilicity's doing. Makes it completely useless, frankly. Will look at what Wind has to offer.

I'm seeing the same in Ottawa. I got a Mobilicity line last Saturday and it disconnects all the time, especially when tethering. Data is not usable at all.

Lesson learned I guess. I will eat my 31$ loss for my month's service with Mobilicity and take my Nexus 4 somewhere else.
