A fantastic guide! Really good. Thank you very much for sharing with the community.

What ROM are you running on your SH7218u? Have you got any decent tips on usability?

Now i using Android mod version 2.2 with some edits because phone need a lot of system memory (not using Sogou input but Perfect keyboard, delete most of ringtones, and some system apps that i not using, ...)

if you want i will upload my reduced version of Rom.

For future we need to port Android 2.3 from SH7218T, i think this should be better.. but someone must help us with porting, i never do it. SH7218U and SH7218T are almost the same devices.
Maybe sharp release some new Rom, but i dont think so.

I agree. Sharp might not do any ROM updates at all. We'll never see ICS, but it would be nice to streamline things. Thanks a lot for your efforts

This edited Rom you can download here: Download Rom
I think its better than mod1. Use Clockworkmod for download.
Better keyboard, Market, Google apps, some widgets, some apps inside.
    All at your own risk.

    Nice work, Straces!
Quick question about Perfect Keyboard though... I don't think I have tried it yet. But does it corresponds well with the hardware keys on the SH7218U?

    Thanks in advance!

Havnt been on this forum in awhile. Love my SH7218U still! Haha, just got a SH-06D though was looking for info on it when I happened across this page and saw my name in it! Thank you for including me but I have " ahhdillon" to thank. He gave me a great from memory walkthrough on how to do it when I was replacing my screen. Im thinking about selling my SH7218u though to be honest. Wish I would have seen this thread earlier though. Anyways (sorry this is an old thread) just wanted to say thanks. Keep up the good work on this underused phone!
