Too much congestion in Uptown Dallas. Decent speeds at 2AM, but horrendous before midnight. Dallas is only 15x15, however.

    Woah that's crazy. Isn't Dallas a 20x20 market? Can't believe it's already saturated

Or maybe the backhaul just isn't that great?

Only the northern suburbs are 20x20. Dallas proper is 15x15.

Seems like tmobile needs to upgrade backhaul all over the country, probably something that the other big 3 are gonna exploit for marketing purposes.

Hopefully John Legere an company already have a plan in place to fix the issue before it becomes propaganda.

Even in Seattle market after upgrading backhaul it only goes up to 100 or so mbps, should be able to get up to 150. Speeds drop down to between 30 and 70 during the day so they realllllly need to max it out

True XD. I mean i only get like 1mbps download or less at home nd I'm in a 15mhz market. I would at least want 5mbps just to do basic things like watch YouTube.

Im thinking backhaul is an issue they need to address, Over the past month I have been noticing more issues when trying to do task such as make a phone call or load up a web page in certain areas. My iPhone will attempt to place the call over LTE to only kick it down to 4G or even Edge in some cases just to make the call.

I'm going to assume you forgot the /s tag...

That said, if 20x20 can peak out at 300mbps per sector, and there are 2-4 sectors per tower, a 100 or 150mbps backhaul can become insufficient pretty quickly.

20x20 is only able to achieve 150 Mbps, per sector. But still, typical 3 sector setup, with 20x20 and hspa+ in band 4, dual carrier hspa+ in band 2, that's a LOT of bandwidth. ~640 Mbps per tower. Plus with band 12 coming, and announced at least 5x5 LTE coming in band 2, thats ~865 Mbps per tower. So they REALLY need to step it up to take advantage of their spectrum holdings. Especially with all of the subscriber additions. Before you guys ask just how much spectrum I think Seattle has, its 50 MHz aws, 30 mhz PCS, and soon to be 12 MHz band 12.

And yes I forgot the /s tag. All values I have given are mbps
