I saw that earlier this week on a big poster by the entrance of my local Walmart but I'm not interested in that model, too big.

Can we please keep this thread focused on deals?

MOD EDIT: Good idea that^. The posts on this page complaining about post count have done nothing but boost individual post counts. Oh the irony.

... someone also reported that they felt the term "Peanut Gallery" was derogatory and was used as an insult. I do not agree.

BTW... my dad and many of his generation were proud to be members of "Buffalo Bob's" peanut gallery. I do not need to look up the definition as the complainer requested but I do thank them for their suggestion on how I should spend part of an otherwise pleasant Sunday morning.

    MOD POST...

You may have noticed that some recent posts have been removed from this thread. Just some notes from your friendly, neighborhood mod:

More and more of our existing members from Howard's other forums are deciding to go off contract and as a result are looking for deals.

Guess what thread their searches lead them to?

Being experienced forum veterans, when they see an obnoxious signature that skirts the rules, they tend to regard that member as just plain ignorant, and will not put much value in the post no matter how relevent it may be.

When they see off topic comments going back and forth, veteran members tend to do two things:
First they make some popcorn, sit back and watch the clown show as it unfolds. That's only human nature...
Second, after they realize enough of their time has been wasted by a nightmare thread that was not able to provide the answer they seek, a veteran member will report the posts and move on.

New members will also report posts because they feel intimidated and will not enter a nightmare thread. New members bring new ideas and new deals. If new members and vetrans do not contribute to the thead, the thread gets stale and eventualy dies off.

I am just one Mod but every Mod and Admin gets each reported post. Moving or deleting posts is just one of our tools and is the first step in attempt to restore order to an otherwise useful thread.

If you have an issue with someone's signature or a comment bothers you in a post that is on topic and follows the rules; simple fix, feel free to put the member on your ignore list.

Off topic posts - Please keep posts relevant to the particular forum title. It's natural for posts to become off topic but a great disruption of the flow of conversation will be moved to the Lounge at our discretion.

Flaming/Trolling - Any content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, vulgar, hateful or distasteful in nature are prohibited. Swearing is prohibited as we have a wide age range. This site employs a profanity filter. Please use appropriate language. Character substitutions, spacing, spelling variations or any form of modified spelling in order to get the word to pass through the filter is absolutely prohibited. Continued threats against a member, moderator or administrator will NOT be tolerated. If you disagree with another member, respond to the subject, not the person as the Internet has made it easy to make personal attacks, you must still exercise courtesy and self-restraint here. Please use the PM (Private Messaging) system to resolve personal issues.

Take note that we have zero tolerance for racial, ethnic, religious, and any other discriminatory slurs. Offenses of this nature warrant more severe disciplinary action (immediate temporary or permanent removal from HowardForums.com).

I might jump on the LG Sunset. It will cost me about $76 just to add a years service to my LG840. The LG840 has been a great little phone for my uses. I love the size of the LG840 and it is easy to use. Pictures are not too bad either. I only have 16 days left on my service, so I have to do something soon, or lose my 2,000 minutes. I guess they will transfer from a feature phone to a smart phone?

Anybody know any reason why I should not jump on this deal? I know its only Android 5.0, but it might last a year or so.

What network will the Sunset be on? I am on AT&T now and they are very strong in my area..

It's worth it just to get the service, so if you don't like the phone, no big loss . It runs on AT&T.

You had mentioned that you don't like big phones. The Sunset is just a little bigger than your LG840G. My suggestion: cut a piece of cardboard the size of of the Sunset 5.11" (H) x 2.55" (W), carry it around where you typically carry your LG840G and see how it feels. Then make your decision.

Thanks... Yes, I did say size is important... But I think I can live with a 4.5... Thanks everyone.
