TF Annual Plan just jumped to $49.99 from $39.99

The No Carrier Choice TracFone Annual Plan just jumped from $39.99 to $49.99. This is the plan that still says it comes with an activation card but it is actually a pre-loaded AT&T card.

Same with the Carrier Choice TracFone Annual Plan. $49.99

Glad I just purchased 2 at the old price!

All of them $40 each? Or do you mean the $1.00 deal?

    - Put the new SIM into the iPhone SE and use it, but keep the iPhone's original SIM in a safe place because it is paired with the iPhone's serial number in TF system.

If you want to go the "proper" route:
    - Active the iPhone (with its original SIM) WITH A TRANSFER from the 306G. The 306G's phone number, minutes, days will be transferred to the iPhone.
    - Contact TF, tell the rep you have a preloaded SIM with 1200/1200/3GB/365 days, and you want all those units/days added to the iPhone. That's what praz108 did.

Standard recommendation: Use chat, ask the rep for your current phone's balance/days to have that info in the transcript. Then ask the rep to do all the transfer and adding units/days. Ask for the final balance/days and a ticket number before ending the chat. Copy and paste the chat transcript into a text file on your computer and save it for record.
    Thanks, hpham, for your instructions
Just activated my iphone with everything. transferting from old phone. Interesting, that CSR never ask me anything about new phone - no IMEI, nothing. Just new SIM number.

Everything is fine, except wifi calls. CSR said that I have to buy special SIM from TF for wifi calls.

With a TF-branded phone, the SIM number and phone IMEI are paired in TF system. Give the SIM number and TF will know which phone it is. That's why if you use a BYOP SIM in a TF-branded phone, functionally it will work, but will confuse a rep if you contact them about it.

That's misinformation. On TF/T-Mo, all phones have Wifi Calling. On TF/AT&T, recently some phones get WiFi Calling enabled, no rhymes or reasons. See THIS THREAD . I don't think anyone on TF/Verizon has WiFi Calling yet.

I have seen some iPhones with updated Carrier Services on Total Wireless and Straight Talk get WiFi calling.

It's an older phone with poorer specs (8MP camera, A8 chip etc) than iPhone 6S/SE.
I believe the last iOS update/upgrade for this phone was iOS 12 (current version is iOS 13).

    No bundle required.

With promo code 60274 it comes to $44.99 plus tax.

Not listed on the Tracfone site but looks like it is still available.

Tracfone has a reconditioned LG Fiesta 2 listed for $29.99. Plan purchase required. It apparently comes with a $12 discount (40% off) that is applied in-cart. Add code 60274 for an additional $15 off and the total for the phone and $15 plan is $17.99 plus tax making the phone cost $2.99.

Good thinking on the Fiesta 2 deal.
One caveat: This is an older phone and might be quite used.
The one I bought in January has several transactions between January 2018 and March 2019 when it was deactivated. Not scuffed or scratched up, but less new than other 'refurbs' I've had in recent years.

Thanks for the info on the Fiesta 2. I just checked the TF site lastnight but didn't see it. I got one at Best Buy and it is a real solid device. Def the battery lasts longer than my Moto e5. Given that this is a refurb it might not last as long but for the price if it works for a year it'd be worth it. It'll probably sell fast with all the discounts.

I checked for the Fiesta 2 at TF's eBay store to see if they might have listed some with a year's service for 49.99 and didnt see any, but an eBay popup offered a $5 off code. I copied it and pasted it into my notepad. It would lower the phones with year's service to 44.99...

There is also a reconditioned Moto G6 on TF for $59.99. Add the $15 card, apply code tax25, and the price remains the same.

Had the same thing happen with an IPhone; tried tax25 also tried 60274. Price didn’t change.

Which iPhone .. the 8? The tax25 promo code works with a bundle so if you add the $20 plan ($15 not avail) it will deduct 25%.

In the case of the iPhone 8 with $20 plan, the tax25 code deducts $93.75.

Generally, the iPhones don't always work with the promo codes.

It appears the $15 60274 code is no longer working on most single phones but may work with a bundle.

In the context I was speaking, applying the tax25 code deducted $15 (25% of $59.99) so the price did not change even though I added a $15 plan. That is what I meant by the price remains the same (also a nod to Led Zeppelin).
