    Is Apple Spying On Us?

I just heard that everything spoken into Siri is recorded and stored by Apple. Is there any truth to that? Is there a privacy issue that Apple has not disclosed or may disclosed but not clafrified?

Haven't used it since November 2011 when I asked the question "When did Thanksgiving become a holiday" or something similar and it told me it could not find that address. Tried several times with the same response. I turned Siri off and never went back. Now I just use Google and type in my question.

Apple has disclosed and clarified the issue. It's a real stretch to call it anything like spying. It's anonymized and used to improve performance for users. And it is a tiny, small, barely a fraction of what Google collects and mines on you. Now that could be called spying.

Anonymized, what a joke, once it's in a database it's in a database.

Not really, I don't care what they have on me, my information is worthless, and I swim in a big pond.

    SELECT some_data_columns_not_all_not_ID INTO new_table [IN original_database] FROM old_table

    DROP original_database

Anonymizing a database isn't rocket science. I'm sure Apple and Nuance have some compotent database analysts/architects.

For 6 months the data contains an identifier unique to the user who uploaded it. After 6 months, the unique ID is dropped.
Seems like it is cool to have these in your sig?
