    I'm a Windows Phone Convert!

I just dump my iPhone and got myself a Windows Phone! So far I must say, is "WOW!", I'm truly impressed. I'm still fooling around with the phone, but it's great from the little i've seen so far. So does anyone have any tips/tricks or must-have apps to share with the newly converted?

Nokia Lumia 521. Some people might not care for this phone, however, i did not want to spend too much on a phone or be locked in for 2 years, if I decided that WP8 was not for me. This phone allowed me to buy it straight up for $130, and test drive Windows Phone 8. If I keep liking this phone, than I might get the Nokia Lumia 925 when it's released. The amazing thing is, for a phone with such mid-range specs at best, it's super fast. The phone only has 1ghz single core and 512mb of ram and the phone load/install apps quite snappy. Besides the hardware side of things, the "People Hub" feature is amazing, it reminds me of WebOS (ahh i miss my Palm).

So any must-have apps for WP? What's the best twitter app?

Just got one too!!! And I love it too!! Coming from long time android use- 3 years. I have only had it a week. Metrotalk free is a good substitute for Google Voice, and Metrotube (get the try it version- same as full version) is a you tube substitute. Waiting for a wallet case- but for the lumia 520 which is a tad shorter so I am hoping I can just file the corners from the hard back holder and it will work. I have a crystal file for fixing chips in crystal so that should work fine.

    Enjoy your new 521!
Never be afraid to try, but always know where your back up is when you screw up!

It doesn't cost anything to be nice and say thank-you.

This isn't an app but I think it's just speech enabled. When I get a text- My phone asks me if I want it to read to me or ignore it, then if I want to reply or close, or I'm done!! How cool is that.

I am really surprised how much I LOVE my Lumia 521. I was a big high end android guy but this little windows phone has changed me. You can not find a better phone for the price.

I'm an android convert, and have had my 928 for a little over a month. I must say, this phone and operating system are great. No problems at all, no lockups, scrolling is smoother than on my Galaxy, and the camera is fantastic.
Everyone should give a Windows phone a shot. When I had my upgrade, I figured I had 14 days to return the phone, and go back to android if I didn't like it. I pretty much knew after 2 days that I was keeping the phone.

    Yes & Yes ...
I simply connected my laptop to try it, haven't run it for any appreciable length of time. If you have unlimited (I only have 3GB), good on ya I will use the app as need-based, lest it be discovered & removed.

edit: after posting this I looked @ the Tether-X app, there appear to be significant limitations on the trial version (since the update a week ago), but I got it to work, initially.
