I recently just bought a phone from Craigslist. I then realized that it has bad imei after calling into T-mobile. It was claimed lost. What do I do? Their suggestion was to call the owner/seller & have them call in to activate it for me. But unfortunately, after spamming the seller with calls, texts & emails, he still won't reply. What should I do now?
Sounds as though you have a paper weight....
Would I get in trouble for reselling it? Even if I state that it has bad imei?
As long as you are clear to the buyer that the IMEI is bad, you can sell it.
Current Device: Apple iPhone 5S
Space Grey - 32GB
Yep. Just re-sell it as a bad emei phone, eat the loss, and move on. Lesson learned.
I managed to track down the seller & got my money back. But i still need a phone. Do you guys know where to buy a cheap phone?
I'm glad you got your money back! I'm sure that hardly ever happens
