Family Wireless in Western Ma pulls the plug, Blames VZW, VZW says "wasn't us"

Interesting. I know part of their business model was they own most of the buildings they were in, and that kept costs very low. I can imagine VZW was trying to get them to move to high-profile, high rent stores, that we all know don't draw enough to make up for it.

More proof that Verizon just doesn't get it.
Hi there. I'm the guy on the other side of the counter. If you're a jerk to me, guess how hard I'm going to try to help you?

Interesting development. I would not want to be an authorized agent these days.

We have always been Premium - what stands in the way of these authorized agents becoming premium?

From the timing, guessing they waited until the July commission hit and then closed up shop.

Minimum 5 stores and various metrics you need to hit.

But having recently made the change, it does NOTHING at all for you. No extra money, and the hot phones are still always OOS on the ordering site.

Stores come and go, smart ones survive, bad ones fail.

Stores making money does not close. Its a fair bet he was breaking even or losing money and it wasent worth his time.

Verizon cant make you move, they can recommend and open territory for you.

Oh yes they can. Can even force you to close your doors. I speak from experience.

That sounds wonderful, but just like _KC_ said, oh yes they can. Take a look at my post of a dealer in the south told by VZW out of the blue they won't be renewing their contract. Months after they built out a brand new store. I do agree that there are smart owners and not so smart owners, but VZW is kinda like the Greek gods. They do as they desire with us mortals and don't need to give us any reasons why.
