Anyone have experience with the DeLorme InReach?

Does anyone have experience using the DeLorme InReach? It's either of two messaging devices utilizing the Iridium satellite constellation. No voice; but provides text messages, short e-mail and SOS.

    Hi There,
I don't own a Delorme Inreach SE, but I've been helping my friend set up his.....he's got it working but there are still a few little tweeks we have to do; setting up a few contacts etc.....it transmits just fine & we can easily follow his progress in the bush.....

Is this the model that you have?......

Not have, but rather, have in mind.

My friend is quite happy with the SE.....this is his first phone of this type & he has absolutely no computer background, but seems to be figuring out most things....

I downloaded the set-up manual & this gives a very good overview of the phone, how it works & of course, the set-up....

Its a free download from the site....it might answer a few questions that you have..........

Few days back I was reading about this Satellite device. It really surprised me.It has got some awesome features like two people can both send and receive messages — that means interactive SOS messages, text messages, emails, social network updates, etc., and full GPS navigation. Looks great to me
