    They did take away the unlimited global data package a few years ago, if I remember correctly.

    Here is a theory. We got the email about free activation for the rest of the month to boost the quarter basically. This could be a glitch done on purpose to also boost upgrades for the quarter. Maybe its been a horrible quarter?

    They can't do it after the contract is signed.

    Everything on that paper when it print is binding. Verizon can not change the terms without breaking contract.

    Glitch or not.
